You’ve tried the strategies. The tools. The systems.
You’ve planned, optimized, and productivity-hacked yourself into the ground.
And still, your business feels heavy.
You’re stuck. Overwhelmed. Constantly putting out fires instead of moving forward.
If you’re a neurodivergent entrepreneur — especially ADHD or Autistic — there’s a reason this keeps happening: you don’t need another fix.
You need a redesign.
Most business advice is built around neurotypical assumptions: that consistency is easy, that systems should be rigid, that structure always equals safety.
But for neurodivergent entrepreneurs, those same systems can backfire — fast. They amplify shame, force masking, and push us deeper into survival mode.
As Christina Hooper said during a recent Wired Differently Live Show:
“It’s really hard to design from a place of fog. And it’s even harder to execute from that place.”
When you’re constantly reacting to problems, chaos, or urgency, you’re not building your business — you’re just trying to survive it.
Many of us unknowingly build reactive businesses:
We say yes too often (even when it’s a foggy yes).
We overcomplicate offers to prove our worth.
We stay stuck in client work that burns us out because we don’t have space to rethink it.
We build systems based on panic and pressure, then wonder why they keep breaking.
Victoria put it bluntly:
“We tend to just go all-in, push ourselves through it, and pretend we’re okay… until we’re on fire.”
If you’ve been stuck in a loop of:
“I know what to do, I’m just not doing it.”
“I can’t figure out where to start.”
“Why do I keep losing momentum?”
…it’s time to ask a different question.
Not “What do I need to fix?”
But “What am I building toward — and is the way I’m building even working for me?”
Melanie summed it up perfectly:
“The system isn’t broken. It’s not doing what you want, but it’s doing what you told it to do.”
That’s not failure. That’s feedback.
And feedback is fuel for a better design.
You don’t need to start over. You don’t need to blow everything up.
You just need to start building from a new place — a place rooted in clarity, not chaos.
Start by asking:
What’s draining me that I keep tolerating?
What’s missing that would make everything easier?
Where am I trying to force something that just doesn’t fit?
This isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about getting honest — and getting aligned.
You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Just had a (paid) call with a new client — she’s level one of my avatar — and the call was so chaotic (to me anyway) and I felt like I really sucked (hello imposter syndrome), but then she said ‘oh my god where have you been all my life’ and was so excited to work together and said this was the most helpful thing she’s had in a while.
I was like whatttttt!? I’m writing this in my journal of wins!
Jade was struggling to balance client's needs with her own — after joining, she went through a BIG level-up with her mindset and her business.
I’m working on the Content Ecosystem Map we were talking about last night… it is SO much better for me to see it this way… at least right now.
I’m working with ChatGPT and it is actually fun work and gets me excited. Thanks so much for this… my brain gets it!!!!
Gwen was balancing a LOT in her life and day job while trying to launch her business and build a legacy for her family — and we were happy to help!
I’m celebrating a partnership with Doctors for Providers! We had a meeting today and it went amazingly well. Now we have a VERY lucrative partnership. My new partner will be adding me to their resource page, my services will be offered on every discovery call, and they will do a social media blast announcing our partnership.
What’s best of all is they don’t have anyone like me, no other marketing company 🎉The cherry on top… they work with franchises!
💗 This wouldn’t have been possible without the resources and guidance I got from the mentors at The Academy.
Yari was awesomely dedicated, but also a bit directionless. She knew what she wanted, but not how to get there. Now she's confidently negotiating partnerships with people that can put her in front of her ideal clients!
We support people being awesome people, no matter their race, creed, gender, sex, country, religion, or choice in TV shows. The only people that aren't welcome here are the people that don't agree with that.
